Friends of the James E. Shepard Memorial Library: Director's Message

Director of Library Services

Director's Message

Theodosia T. Shields, Ph.D.

Director of Library Services

We invite you to explore the resources of the James E. Shepard Memorial Library, and urge you to let us know the results of your quest. We endeavor to shape our information universe to conform to the needs of users. Our success depends on continuous, constructive feedback from students, faculty and other patrons. Your academic experiences will be enriched by the exciting opportunities to expand your intellectual horizons. Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. said, "Man's mind, stretched to a new idea, never goes back to its original dimensions." The Shepard Library aims not only to provide information, but also to create space for stretching minds and cultivating values necessary for success as scholars and citizens.

To help us with these efforts, we ask that you consider becoming a Friend. We thank you in advance for your time and support of NCCU Libraries.

Sincerely,
Theodosia T. Shields, Ph.D.
