TEP (Elementary) Entry and Exit: ANNOUNCEMENTS

This guide is meant to educate and inform students on the process to be admitted to Teacher Education Program (TEP) as a teacher licensure candidate. This guide also provides information on graduating and exiting the program to become a licensed teacher.

COVID-19 TESTING UPDATES

Please note the important information below regarding tests required for admission to TEP and for permission to student teach:

If you are being permitted to move forward into TEP conditionally without Praxis Core:

  • Tests have been made available via Praxis At Home.
  • You have until October 15 to take and pass the Reading, Writing, and Math tests. (Combined score of 468)

If you are planning to student teach this fall (2020):

  • Praxis II Elementary Math IS available as a Praxis At Home test as well! Use the link above for more information.
  • Pearson Testing Centers opened on May 11. You may register or re-register for your Foundations of Reading exam. They have special rules for COVID-19, so read carefully!
