The journals and databases listed at the right are just a few of the resources you have access to by attending North Carolina Central University. You have access to over 300 databases via the James E. Shepard Memorial Library databases alphabetical list  and access to 45,291 journals via Journal Finder. Visit the James E. Search Alerts

Once you have completed your database searches you are able to save your search as an alert. It will automatically search the database and give you the latest records matching to your saved searches. You can also choose Auto alerts for email or RSS feeds when new material is added to the database.


Different databases will have different methods of setting up search alerts. Most database providers have step-by-step guidelines for saving searches and setting up search alerts.
