Project Competencies and Sub-compentencies

 

Competency: Can identify and explain the identification, evaluation, planning and placement process for children eligible to receive special education and related services.

 

Sub-competencies:

  1. Understand the general educator’s role as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  2. Identify and describe the identification, evaluation, planning and placement process for children suspected of meeting the eligibility criteria for special education and related services, and be able to make an appropriate referral.

Project Deliverables:

  1. Handout explaining RTI and MTSS 
  2. PowerPoint with speaker notes and narration explaining the special education process
