Project 1 Competency and Sub-Competencies
Project Competency: Can develop literacy activities and assessment strategies which are supported by scientifically-based reading research and the common core standards in reading for grades K-6.
- Students will understand the importance of the five essential components of scientifically based reading instruction and develop a repertoire of effective strategies.
Fully develop two weeks of leveled literacy centers for any grade K-6. For each center activity, provide a list of materials and instructions. Discuss how you will assess student learning and provide remediation. For each activity and assessment included, provide a research-based rationale for its use with your class.

Student Center Activities - Florida Center for Reading Research
